About Our Trip

On May 9, 2008, Jonathan Chase, Dustin Junkert, and Andrew Spencer will leave Bristol, IN on a 7 week trek to New Orleans. Our course will take us north to Benton Harbor via the St. Joseph River. Once the St. Jo dumps us out into Lake Michigan, we will skirt the southern shore to the Chicago River. The Chicago flows into the Illinois River, which empties into the Mississippi just above the city of St. Louis. Once we’re on the Mississippi, it’s a pretty clear shot to New Orleans and the Gulf of Mexico.

On this website you will find pictures and stories of our adventures (assuming that we can find internet access every once in a while along the way).

Why are we doing this? Mostly just because the Mississippi River is there, but partly because of Huckleberry Finn and Mark Twain.
